But we want not only to improve our internal processes but also to strengthen our positions in the global market. Our team is an active participant of international conferences and exhibitions. And one of these events was the Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC18) in Barcelona.
What is MWC18?
The Mobile World Congress is the largest connectivity event all over the globe. It was organized on February 26 – March 1, 2018, in Barcelona and gathered over 2300 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors. Among them, there were:
- Carriers
- Producers
- Distributors
- Designers
- Marketers
- Engineers.
They are specialists from different spheres but all of them have a common aim: they want to make the mobile industry thrive and grow.
The program included the presentation of the newest smartphone models by the world’s leading manufacturers of mobile devices, seminars and panel discussions of the prospects of the industry development as well as numerous other activities.
And though the majority of visitors are traditionally captured with the new smartphones and other devices (we should admit that many of them are really cutting edge), we were quite impressed by the part that included the insights from industry experts.
Among the topics discussed that were under special attention were the enrichment of mobile devices with AI tools and the development of the 5G network. There was a lot of news related to 5G and it is quite explicable. In 2017 the early version of the network specifications were approved which is very important for the entire industry.
Many carriers and telecommunication companies already had demos of 5G speeds to share. And we can say that the results look quite promising. There were also a lot of talks about the regulations and infrastructural changes that are required for the introduction of the 5G network on the national level in different countries.
Outcomes for MyAmplifiers
Participation in MWC18 Barcelona which is one of the most influential events in the industry was an important milestone for us. At the exhibition, we demonstrated our latest mobile signal boosters as well as the amplifiers that have already proved their efficacy in the long-term.
Our schedule at the exhibition was very busy and it is quite difficult to say which part of our program was the most interesting or useful for us. But we can name three main things that we brought home from this event:
- Knowledge
- New contacts
- Impressions
And that’s really cool!
We had an amazing opportunity to present our devices to industry experts and to listen to their valuable opinions. It was pleasant to hear from them and to see with our own eyes that we are on the right way.
We established contacts with professionals who share our views, who are also interested in enhancing telecommunication services and building a bright future for the industry. We got a great portion of inspiration and are ready to move further.
It was a great honor and real pleasure for us to be a part of such an important event but we are absolutely sure that it is far not the last event of this level that we will take part in.
